I am proud to introduce the co-directors of JacksonGrant’s new C-Suite talent management division: Supathra Kuratana will be our Senior Client Partner, Executive Services; Larry Persons joins us as Director of Executive Development. Together, we will disrupt the executive search market in Thailand and Southeast Asia!

JacksonGrant is the culmination of more than 12 years of dedication to providing the highest quality recruitment services in Thailand & Southeast Asia. 

When I decided to establish a dedicated executive search and talent management division, I knew it would take careful planning to assemble the right leadership team. I’d need partners with unparalleled top-flight multinational corporate experience: Veteran professionals with stellar resumes, real leadership qualities, and gravitas. 

Dr. Larry S. Persons and Supathra were the leading candidates on my short list to serve as directors of JacksonGrant Executive. Supathra and Larry are titans in their respective fields, and I am very pleased to announce these two accomplished professionals, whose careers and character I respect and admire, will be joining me in this exciting new endeavour. 

Supathra’s CV speaks for itself: decades of experience as an elite marketing executive, regional manager, and managing director for some of the world’s most-recognised consumer brands. 

Larry is Thailand’s preeminent expert on cross-cultural leadership training and executive coaching.  He is a published author and respected university professor who is always in great demand as a lecturer and coach. Whether coaching expatriates to integrate into Asian business environments, or supporting the development of Thai leaders in multinational contexts, Larry is recognised by the business community as the foremost authority on cross-cultural adaptation in Thailand.

Joining forces with this ‘dream team’ is a real statement of intent that JacksonGrant is fully prepared to disrupt Southeast Asia’s executive search market. Please allow me to present their qualifications in further detail:

Introducing Supathra ‘Ob’ Kuratana, Senior Client Partner, Executive Services 

Supathra is the former Global Commercial Director and Thailand Managing Director for Thai Union. She has direct personal experience working in the C-suite for global organisations. 

Supathra previously worked as regional marketing director of ASEAN, Australia & Hong Kong for LIXIL / American Standard; ASEAN Corporate Sales Director for Diversey; and regional marketing manager for Mars corporation.

With elite leadership credibility, proven corporate management expertise, and an impressive professional network, Supathra is perfectly poised to execute JacksonGrant Executive’s robust business development strategy.

Supathra understands the challenges of executive search from both sides of the equation, having been through the process numerous times herself as a sought-after candidate for corner office positions.

She implicitly knows the requirements of C-suite executives, with keen market insights on the nuances and idiosyncrasies of doing business in Thailand and Southeast Asia – as well as firsthand knowledge of the inner machinations of board rooms.

Supathra will handle all of our client relationships in this new business development role; she will also interface with candidates. She brings a fresh, innovative approach to executive search in Southeast Asia. 

Presenting Dr. Larry S. Persons, Director of Executive Development

A published author with a PhD in Intercultural Studies, Larry has had a long and storied career as an executive coach and cultural sensitivity expert. He teaches top-level executives how to lead their multinational teams more effectively, and is the author of the widely respected book, The Way Thais Lead: Face as Social Capital (2016).

An American expatriate who was born and raised in Thailand, Larry is fully bilingual and bicultural. He is a visiting professor at Chulalongkorn University’s Sasin School of Management and a certified Hogan assessor.

I am absolutely delighted that Larry has joined us as Director of Executive Development. He is the very best in the business: a unique proposition in a market that is saturated with executive coaches. Larry has done groundbreaking academic research on leadership within the Thai context. Some of Thailand’s biggest companies rely on Larry to mentor their Thai and expatriate executives. 

Larry will oversee leadership training & development for our C-suite clients. This includes, first and foremost, cultural awareness training to help corporate leaders run multinational organisations more effectively. 

He adds incredibly valuable personality assessment skills and psychometric evaluation to the executive search process, helping ensure that new executives will settle in quickly and enjoy long tenures with their employers.

Larry’s proprietary executive coaching programme is designed to cultivate emotional and cultural intelligence amongst top executives, enabling them to win the hearts of their teams and become a transformational leader.

Another area of Larry’s considerable proficiency involves organisational transformation. He routinely assists top multinational companies to become better prepared for the future. Larry’s specialised consulting enables organisations to navigate change with more agility, hence more sustainable profitability.
